Sell out or not?

I've been waiting for new songs from The Summer Set for a really long time and when I heard that they released the title of a new single from them, I was beyond excited.

The song is "Fuck U Over" and I honestly thought it was going to be a sell out song. When I came home and listened to it, I was wrong. It wasn't a sell out song after all. :D

It's different from their usual sound tho but hey, change is good.

Check them out if you haven't listened to them :)

One world. Popularity.

I know this isn't about music but whatever.

I'm really shocked by the fact that popularity is the one thing that defines people these days. People think that if you're not popular, you're nothing and I really think that's fucked up.

Let me tell you this. Being prom queen or quarterback of the football team will get you nowhere in the future. Yeah, in high school it does, but eventually it dies down and people continue on with their lives. Just a picture or two of those memories will be left in the yearbook.

One thing that teenagers do nowadays (which is really really STUPID) is to change who they are just to fit in. You are the only you who lives in this planet. All of us are unique in our own way. Please don't waste that.

Who cares if you're unpopular. Try to find that one thing that will make you stand out. Don't be like those people who fill up their faces with make up and wear revealing clothes. Don't be like those people who bully every single kid because they feel superior.

"Don't change for anyone. Leave that shit to the lonely." From the oh-so-wonderful boy, Garrett Nickelsen :)

Some days, they taste like lemonade...

So I've been a big fan of this band called The Maine

They have this song called "Some Days" and it pretty much sums up my life.

I would just like to share it with you guys :)

Enjoyy :D

Dreams, dreams, dreams and dreams...

In school, there are days where in they'd ask you about what you dream to become in the future and this is the only thing (which is related to school work) that I like - no scratch that- LOVE to do.

Every single one of my schoolmates would like to become teachers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, etc. But me? I've always wanted to be in a band. They said it was a waste of time. It is, actually, if the meaning of "wasting your time" is doing that one thing you love for the rest of your life.

Just the thought of playing in front of large crowds makes me feel so ecstatic. I would love to tour along with all of my closest friends. I would love to meet other bands along the way. I would love to stand on top of the stage and hear thousands of people scream our names. I would love to sign thousands of albums just for our fans.

I would love to hear people say "thanks for saving my life".

I'd prove to everyone that what i'll be doing isn't for the money or the fame, but for the people out there watching us and looking us as their heroes.

Music has done a lot of things to me and I would love to do something in the future to finally give back.
